Exercises you can do at home
In addition to my daily walking, I'm trying to add toning exercises. So, I'm looking for effective exercises to do at home...no particular area, just basic toning and dumbbell exercises. If you have any, please post them. I'll post the good ones, as I find them.
Personally, I'd like to be able to pull-up this thread, scroll down and pick the ones I want to do, each day.

When we went to the lake for 3-days, we kayaked the whole 3-days. That is such good exercise for your upper arms...all over the body, really. So, when I got home, I started doing "rowing motions" with a 5-pound dumbbell in each hand...and, arm circles frontward and backward.
We're planning a week of kayaking on the Buffalo River. I'm sure this will strengthen my arms, for the week long adventure. I think we'll start kayaking on the lake, one day a week. We both love it.

What shoes are you wearing when you walk? Terry broke down and got a pair of the K-mart sketchers knockoffs (therashoe) and he absolutely loves them. I bought a pair of the Dr. Scholls verson at Walmart for $30.00 and they are wonderful. Especially since I am having trouble with my heel right now due to a bone spur. But Terry even wore them this weekend on his treadmill and said he definitely feels it in his legs. I told him I immediately felt it in my knees. But it is a good feeling.
