Let's Discuss Shoes!

Shoes are so important! Those of us who work on our feet, 8-hours a day, really need good shoes. And, we all need good shoes, for walking/running.

A girl at work got some of those new "shape-up" shoes. They aren't Skecher...can't remember the brand, but she got them at Shoe Carnival. Even at Shoe Carnival, they were right at $100. But, she said they are the most comfortable shoes she's ever had. They have a great platform on them. They look really good.

Has anyone tried these shoes, or do you have some shoes that are really good?

I think Rebok has some and New Balance might have also come out with some like the Sketchers. I haven't tried them yet, but may look at them later.

As far as just comfort for every day (for those of us who have to go to an office), I have to admit the Earth Spirit shoes you get at Walmart are wonderful. I am going to order on line probably because they don't carry all the styles in the store, but you can get on line.

I have thought about these shoes and also the Z-coil shoe?
A friend of mine swears by them, she is even in a local commercial about the Z-coil.

One thing I Always do to keep my feet happy is NEVER wear the same pair of shoes two day running...I have to wear a different pair or my feet tell me about it. So I wonder about wearing the types of shoes like we mentioned.

Hmmmm...I kick off my work shoes every day, and slide them into the coat closet. Then, put them back on the next day. I wonder if I should start keeping two pairs of shoes in there, and alternating.

I had so much upper back/neck from a car accident, I had to quit wearing ''spongy'' shoes while the subluxation was being treated. I now know I have sublux issues probably forever, but it can be maintained when I need allignment.

I then, got short tendons in the back of my ankles, into heels (what is that tendon?)...couldn't put my heels down flat with out it hurting. This started after I mistreated myself...and wore some ridiculous shoes to be in style in about 1996.

So finally the Chiropractor put me in Birkenstocks, so I had flat but firm under pinning, plus a high arch to hold my pitiful abused feet up.

I thought I'd never ever get used to those things..(even tho I had worn them years before for fashion)...

Now I have about 100 pairs, in every color imaginable in pretty leathers and wool. I have them stacked neatly in little cube containers and shoved around under the bed skirt. Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall, Sandals, Clogs and full shoes.

I will never run out of shoes again in my natural life. And, now I cannot bear to wear anything else.

They might be ugly, but my toes have never been prettier..my pedicures look great now that my toes are never jammed or crowded. And I really love the wool felt clogs right now...so warm and cozy. But I can't wait for warm weather to wear my turquoise snake skin straps.

I did buy another pair of brown suede clogs with furry lining from ISSAC ... cute cute. But the shoe feels flat, great for a little while but not all day. There is something about orthotic that you miss. And I am wearing the generic foot bed, but it feels orthotic.

My mom ordered her some from QVC, wore them a day and hated them. She is the only person that I know that has had some.

It has been my practice to never wear a pair of shoes or a pair of boots two days in a row.
I always switch heel heights and the pressure points and so I have no problems with my feet or my knees.
This is a rare thing among my friends. It seems like most have some sort of problem.

I found two pairs, endorsed by "Curves", in the Avon Catalog. The highest priced one is around $40. They aren't "work conducive", though...sporty colors. But, I thought I would try a pair and wear them when not at work. Then, if I like them, I can get a pair of black ones. If so, I think I'll get two different styles in black, and switch them out every day. I've heard that from so many places, other than from you, Suse.

New Earth Spirits are at Walmart

We went to Walmart Saturday and they have the new styles for summer of Earth Spirits Shoes. My hubby was so impressed with my feelings last year about them that he bought a pair of sandals. He absolutely loves them. In fact he thinks he might wear the pair out he bought and I told him to go buy another pair and put them back just in case. They were only $40.00. I bout another pair of slip on sandals (not between the toes) that are adjustable with velcro but look very nice. Not cheap looking. Mind were $28.00. I am going to try to buy another pair that look pretty much like the birkenstocks but are much more comfortable.

So you might check them out.
